Yes it's helpful to have your foundation of support created before venturing fully into the world no matter who you are! That's good.
I empathize with the medication on back order or out of stock thing. My diabetic medication is also taken by many for weight loss and I struggle to get ahold of it to treat my very real diabetes. it's tough.
