I'll go first since I began the prompt. Feel free to reply on this post with your own joys so we can share 

 

Things that make me smile include:

- Hanging out with my awesome brother (online or in-person)
 

- Singing what's on my heart and hitting the notes nicely

- Seeing cute art or clothes and imagining what I'd like to wear

- Daydreaming about who I want to be and what I want to do with my life

- Having deep thoughts that remind me of how precious life is

- Getting random bursts of joy that make me giggle and smile at nothing in particular

- Accomplishing something or resolving to set a new routine for myself.

- Actually following through with new routines, when possible!


Things that make me laugh include:
 

- Chaotic comedy skits, videos, movies or shows

- Talking to my brother

- TikTok videos

- Fictional characters that I perceive to be attractive (Don't judge too hard please. >.>")

- Someone actually putting in the efforts to be my friend

Things that make me (and us generally) laugh:

-recently our dog's antics have been kind of funny. When she gets goofy and zoomy, it's hard not to laugh!

This is such a nice list! I love it when little furry family members get the zoomies! I wonder what makes them get that way? I remember my first time seeing some cats doing that and I thought something was medically wrong with the cats, lol.

And I love finding out cool things I've never been aware of before too! That's always great. And what that reminds me of is my love for learning things like how to do math and then grasping those things strongly. I don't need to do a lot of math in my everyday life, but it's SUPER fun when I can see an algebra problem and know how to solve it without cheating, lol. I'd need some refreshers to do those again today, but when I know what to do, it's a BLAST!! It makes me wish I had a reason to do math more often so I could retain those lessons, because I think maybe I find math to be genuinely enjoyable once I understand how to do things.

Things that make me smile include comedic routines, people going out of their way to show kindness, and learning new, awesome things.

Things that make me laugh all seem to revolve around humor. Whether my hubbs does something funny or a coworker says something hilarious, I enjoy humor a lot.

They do say that laughter is the best medicine, so I can see how you would enjoy humor. Personally, I find it to be healing for the soul. :)

Do you have any favorite comedians? I think my favorite one is George Carlin, but I also like talk show hosts, who I consider to be comedians in their own rights as well, like Jon Stewart and John Oliver. Might have more people I enjoy listening to, but I can't think of them off the top of my head right now.

I don't have a favorite comedian, but I enjoy watching funny videos. I've seen a few with Tim Hawkins, and random people on Comedy Central at a time. George Carlin can be pretty funny!

That's valid too! In any case, I think comedy really is such a valuable art form that I wish people wouldn't take for granted so often. What I mean by that is that when you put some effort into comedy, you can get some really good stuff! But when it feels like everyone only ever goes for the bottom of the barrel, it's not as good as it could be.

I agree. Not everything is funny and there really is an art and understanding to it. Definitely need to captivate the audience, not steer them away.
