I often find myself having this horrible habit of sleeping in all the way until my shift at work starts, if I have work on a particular day. This usually causes me to fall into a deep depression because I feel like I'm not doing anything fun in my day before work. So, to combat this, I'm doing some research about how to combat this sleepytime problem I'm having. Below are some suggestions to myself regarding ways I can try to wake up at a decent time and, more importantly, stay awake after waking up instead of going right back to sleep.
How Not to Sleep In All Day
1. Before going to bed, make plans for what you want to do the next day
2. Have a consistent sleep schedule (bedtime and wake-up time)
3. Let the sunlight in upon waking up from sleep
4. Try doing some morning stretches to help you wake up
5. Find small tasks to do in the morning, like tidying up
6. Listen to morning music to start the day on the right foot
7. Follow a morning routine (hygiene, breakfast, etc.)

Date: 2024-12-23 12:20 pm (UTC)It's my morning off and first thing I did was post my newest page of my comic up and then get on here to post and read others posts. And I've been up almost an hour in a half now. It is good advice to have a plan with what you want to do! I also like making lists and marking them off as I go. It helps me stay motivated.
